Welcome
City of Swansea Aquatics Club is a competitive swimming club, largely based at the Wales National Pool Swansea and Penlan Leisure Centre.
The Club focuses on Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) and fully utilises the Athlete Development Support Pathway (ADSP) for all swimmers.
Our focus on the development of the swimmers’ technical ability is in a fun swimming environment, with emphasis on skills.
The Club competes from Junior to National Level, supporting as many local galas as the competition calendar allows.
We have swimmers on the Swim Wales National Squads including Skills Academy, Elite squads and Para squads.
In addition to sessions at the Wales National Pool and Penlan Leisure Centre, we also hold sessions at Morriston Leisure Centre and Penyrheol Leisure Centre.
The Club has strong links with Swansea City Council, Swansea University, British Swimming and the Swim Wales High-Performance Centres.
Why Choose Swansea Aquatics?
These are just some of the obvious benefits, but the advantages are too numerous to list. Long-time swimmers can attest to the life skills gained by participation, including time management, goal setting, cooperation and independence, but most importantly swimming friends are friends for life.
At the City of Swansea Aquatics, our coaches know that no two swimmers are the same – and we have 8 squads and two pathways to develop swimmers at their own pace. We do our best to accommodate swimmers who have disabilities and are passionate about supporting para swimmers within the club. If you or your son/daughter are interested in swimming, get in touch and come for a free assessment on Fridays at 7:00 pm at Penlan Leisure Centre. Our Head of Recruitment, Rhys will assess the swimmer’s standard of swimming to make sure they are put into the right squad to ensure that the swimmer is supported at the appropriate level.
