I was delighted and very honoured to have been appointed to the role of Head Coach with City of Swansea Aquatics in the summer of 2024.

I myself was a competitive swimmer, joining Reading Swimming Club at the age of seven and swimming with the cub until I left for university. I was a multiple Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire County Champion, a regional medallist and a national finalist. My primary event was the 400m Individual Medley and I very much enjoy incorporating IM work into training programmes.

In 2009 I undertook my Level 1 coaching qualification and volunteered with a local swimming club as an assistant coach. I took on my first full time coaching role in January 2010 when I was appointed to be the age group coach with Plymouth Leander. From there I have held two Head Coach positions, with both Caradon Swimming Club and South Lincs Competitive Swimming Club.

In my most recent role I enjoyed great success as South Lincs became the Top Club at Lincolnshire County Championships in 2022 and 2023. I saw seven swimmers become East Midlands Regional Champions and took multiple swimmers to both British Summer Championships and Swim England Summer Nationals where the athletes achieved multiple finals and medals. In 2022 one of my swimmers achieved a British junior team selection and went on to take a bronze medal at the European Junior Championships in Bucharest, Romania as part of the girls 4 x 200m Freestyle Relay.

I very much hope to be able to build on the successes achieved at South Lincs and return Swansea Aquatics to a leading position in Welsh swimming and beyond.
