As a keen and competent swimmer in my younger days (I swam with Welsh Cygnets Swimming Club) I have always had an affinity with water and I have a passion to share that love of all things aquatic with others.
I currently hold my Level 1 Teaching Aquatics and my Level 2 Extended Diploma in Coaching Learn to Swim (Pre Fundamentals) and I am hoping to expand my qualifications later this year by undertaking the Level 1 Coaching Aquatics course.
In addition to my “day” job I teach babies and toddlers (which I adore) in addition to also working within a more traditional Learn to Swim school. However, I love being part of the Swansea Aquatics programme after becoming involved when my daughter joined Skills 1 back in March 2014. Presently I predominantly volunteer within the younger squads of Skills, Junior Development, Age Development and Comp 1 (mainly as this is the squads where my three children are based).
I am passionate about getting people to enjoy the water, to be confident in it and to be able to swim to the best of their ability and I love to see the progress that people make with their hard work and determination.
